Tokyo Taxis

Taxis are ubiquitous in Tokyo. Wait on any street and one will come along within a few minutes. The drivers are immaculately attired in suits and ties, often wearing white gloves. The insides of the taxis are always super clean with little white doilies on the seats.

The driver opens the rear right door automatically for you and closes it himself for getting in and out. The flagfall is ¥710 so they're not cheap, but they are definitely easy and convenient.
